Ever since I was a kid I was restless. I loved traveling, exploring new places, learning about different cultures, trying new things and meeting amazing people along the way. Packed in a van to play a gig with my best friends, hitch hiking to the Côte d’Azur just to feel beach sand between my toes or on the train through Siberia, it didn’t matter, as long as I was moving, learning and making memories.

Even now, living in Southern California thousands of miles from my hometown of Berlin, Germany, the itch for travel and new experiences persists. To me wine is an amazing story teller that can transport you to far-off places, telling tales of the land, the people and their craft.

Fernweh, a German word that can literally be translated to far sickness or the longing for travel and new experience, is the feeling that has driven me to get out and explore my whole life. And with my wines I’m hoping to share some of that feeling.
