Martian Ranch - Alisos Canyon, CA
Martian Ranch has been farmed biodynamically since it's inception in 2007 and certified Biodynamic by Demeter USA since 2010.

I fell in love with this vineyard the second I first laid my eyes on it after driving up the hill off of Alisos Canyon Road and looking down into the valley that the vineyard is planted in.
Not only is this a stunning vineyard, it also produces exceptional fruit. Marine winds and fog travel through the San Antonio Creek Valley which runs directly from the mouth of Alisos Canyon to the Pacific Ocean 20 miles to the west. Warm days and very cold nights create fruit of great concentration and balance. Soils here are very well aerated and comprised of shaley clay loam.
